GKOLEY was inspired to write this song LANDSLIDE because of SINGLE MOTHERS being such a great influence. SINGLE MOTHERS who we highly commend for being so strong raising us kids on their own, its SOOOO amazing when i see my hood partners and other people i know that was raised by a single mother that did a SUPER great job raising us kids, this song is dedicated to single mothers who deserves a song commending their true dedication to us, "Sometimes NOT Grateful Kids".. anyway REAL TALK, i know that it takes a lot mentally, spiritually and financially but single mothers still strives to be there for us kids unconditionally as though it was 2 parents involved because of having to play multiple roles as a parent... LANDSLIDE represents how hard it is for a SINGLE MOTHER to come to the realty of having to raise kids by herself and how that beginning of her life felt and how this same single mother end up successful in her career, business owner or what ever that SINGLE MOTHER desires to become after growing through whatever she has been through. Her kids who witnessed their mother teach and raised us kids to be the best at who they dream of becoming in life regardless of life and its circumstances DON'T GIVE UP! LANDSLIDE is like a ladder or stairs you have to climb to reach your goals, the top of the stairs represents her accomplished goals, but beware! them stairs get kind of steep going up, but its worth it in the long run....SINGLE MOTHERS WE LOVE YOU DON'T GIVE UP...

Gkoley is a rap artist from New Orleans, Louisiana.
Inspired by hip-hop artist such as Wayne, Eminem, Nas, Tupac and Biggie, the rapper’s music is lyrical and up tempo, with a catchy flow made recognizable by his
New Orleans twang.
Gkoley first began rapping for fun around age 9 after while being the son of a record business executive Greg Money he continued growing and learning more about the art and became more of a writer and performer at age 13 Gkoley began recording and doing shows around the New Orleans areas. Gkoley began to take his musical talents to the next level after spending time away.
Growing up in an impoverished and crime-filled neighborhoods, the artist witnessed several distressing events from a young age including loss of good friends and even family. This tuff upbringing and confrontation with life’s struggles early on pushes Gkoley to make it out and do better. These themes of strive and motivation are reflected in his lyrics, which he views as a space for self expression.
“Sometimes I talk about the things I have seen in my youth and how it has still affected me years later,” says the artist, describing his song writing process. “Mostly I create based on energy, Whatever I am feeling, however the people around me or whatever kind of vibe is in the air, I use that to write the song.”
Motivation by self-expression, and to honor his Mother, Daddy and loyal friends through his craft, Gkoley is 100% focused on putting out new music in 2020.
